Christmas Quilt Along - Going Well

Good progress so far this morning, I've put the centre of the top together. It's looking very muted at the moment, but it's going to have more red in the border. The green carpet doesn't help, but there's too much sun and shade in the conservatory to get a good picture. Not that it's been sunny all day, we had some really torrential downpours earlier and overall it's been great sewing weather.

Time to stop for lunch ...

  1. Gosh, that's gone together so quickly. Love the way the greens form a lattice-like effect under the stars.

  5. Looking good! I just found my corner trimmer thingy. I had it for ages but it's still unused in the packet. Oops.

  7. I think it looks good. If you still think it looks dull later, maybe you could applique some red hollyberries or something like that in the middle area. Can't wait to see it finished!

  8. Great suggestion, thanks Shakerwood, I'll keep that in mind. Amo, don't stress about not using the corner trimmer, it'll be there when you need it. Mine's been waiting patiently for over a year, but I couldn't have put the stars together accurately without it.
