The Top Secret Fishing Quilt

This is OH's christmas present, it needs a little more quilting, but at least it's usable. As you can see, it's not taken Fatcat long to find out how comfy it is! The fabric is all brushed cottons and the wadding is Quilters Dream Wool - the end result is extremely soft and cuddly. The fabrics all have a fishing theme, as does the label which was done with the add-on embroidery unit for the Bernina 630 (borrowed from my friend). The quilting so far is simply in the ditch with a cream thread.

  1. I'm still trying to work out how on earth you got this made without Mr Lumberjack finding out what you were doing?

PS: love the current leafy background, very stylish and simple and doesn't get in the way of your text and photos.

  2. I only worked on it at my Wednesday sewing group and the reason it's not got that much quilting yet is that I kept getting interrupted by people wanting help with various projects LOL!

  4. Most of them are Moda fabrics from various Holly Taylor collections.

  5. It's absolutely wonderful. You must have been either working on it all year, or working very fast on Wednesdays if that's the only time you could do it.
